Crow University Working Papers
This series exists to house those pieces of research that do not need to live inside the main B.S. Core, yet are still too important, too specific, or too delightfully overexamined to be left wandering the academic countryside unattended.
This is the relief valve. It is where one-off studies, behavioral observations, specialty taxonomies, seasonal findings, and tightly focused pieces of institutional nonsense may be cataloged with dignity.
Current Release
The current Working Paper documents cross-species coordination already visible in the field and considers what follows once corvid observation meets canid ground action under loosely structured but repeatable conditions.
A working paper documenting repeatable workplace decision failures in which visible risk is acknowledged but not fully calculated. Introduces the concept of “Deferred Recognition,” where flawed actions appear reasonable at the time but become indefensible upon later review, often aided by photographic evidence.
What Belongs Here
Working Papers are not degrees, not full programs, and not broad institutional hubs. They are focused pieces of CrowU scholarship designed to stand on their own legs.
- Behavioral observations that deserve formal treatment.
- One-off studies with a narrow but important subject scope.
- Specialty taxonomies and structured field notes.
- Seasonal or cultural phenomena requiring serious unseriousness.
- Items that enrich the wider CrowU universe without bloating the B.S. Core.
Archive & Release List
The archive will continue to grow as new studies are released. Over time, this section may include behavioral notes, observational frameworks, taxonomy pages, and other worthy papers that do not require a full degree track.
A field paper documenting the recurring annual compulsion associated with Robin Eggs, including the superiority of the mini variety and the sequential pleasure structure now identified as the Candy Holy Trinity.
A field paper examining the neglected category of crow egg confectionery and documenting why any proper version would be dark, lacquered, gold-flecked, and probably unavailable without clearance.
A working paper examining whether crows serve as observers, signalers, or unofficial supervisory personnel in unstable cat-herding environments marked by drift, fragmentation, and low feline compliance.
A working paper documenting cross-species coordination between corvids and canids, with particular attention to scouting, signaling, approach timing, and shared resource oversight under field-tested conditions.
A working paper documenting repeatable workplace decision failures in which visible risk is acknowledged but not fully calculated. Introduces the concept of “Deferred Recognition,” where flawed actions appear reasonable at the time but become indefensible upon later review, often aided by photographic evidence.
Series Note
Working Papers are intended as standalone studies and archival oddities. They may cross-link into the B.S. Core, Cat Herding, Jack Shit lineage studies, faculty pages, and other parts of Crow University, but they are not meant to replace those sections.
